Rich Hollow Farm is a 228-acre farm nestled against the eastern edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Albemarle County, VA. Much of our property is wooded but a portion of our open space has been dedicated to specialty cut flowers – especially dahlias, peonies and sunflowers!
Abundant sunshine, fertile soil and a spring-fed lake provide most of the ingredients for our success. Aggressive composting, hard work and Mother Nature take care of the rest!
We are passionate about environmental stewardship and we use natural soil supplements such as fish emulsion and bone meal rather than synthetic fertilizers. And we control insects and weeds without pesticides or herbicides.
Rich Hollow Farm Flowers is expanding to meet the demand for fresh, local flowers in the Charlottesville, Richmond and Fredericksburg, VA region. We are happy to offer you our extra dahlia tubers as they become available in the Fall.
