About

We are a 228-acre farm nestled against the eastern-facing edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Albemarle County, VA.  Much of our property is wooded but we have dedicated some of our open space to specialty cut flowers.

A wonderful growing climate, surprisingly fertile soil and a spring-fed lake provide most of the ingredients for our success.  Aggressive composting, hard work and Mother Nature take care of the rest!

We are passionate about environmental stewardship and use natural soil supplements such as bone meal and fish emulsion rather than synthetic fertilizers. And we control pests and weeds without the use of pesticides or herbicides.

We are in the process of expanding the space we allocate to specialty flowers – especially peonies, dahlias, zinnias and sunflowers and may be able to offer dahlia tubers for sale in the future.  If you have any comments or questions we would love to hear from you!
